Privacy policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, who sees it and the choices you have.
1. About this policy
Process Elevation Pty Ltd (ABN 91 670 683 495) (we, us, Process Elevation) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
It applies to this website, to our enquiry and booking processes and to our consulting services.
2. Information we collect
Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified or reasonably identifiable individual. Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, company and role.
- Enquiry details: what you tell us about your business and the help you need.
- Engagement records: information exchanged during a consulting engagement, including documents, process information and correspondence.
- Technical data: basic server logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of access, recorded by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health, racial or ethnic origin or political opinions) through this website. If a client engagement requires us to handle sensitive information, we handle it only with consent or where the law permits, and only for the purpose for which it was provided.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you: through the contact form, through the booking calendar on this website, by email or phone, in meetings and during engagements. Where reasonable and practicable we collect information only from you. If we receive information about you from a third party (for example, your employer in a client engagement), we take reasonable steps to make sure you are aware of it.
4. Process health check
The process health check on this website scores your answers in your browser. We do not receive or store your answers unless you choose to email yourself the result. If you do, we use the email address you give us to send that one email. If you also tick the optional box, we may contact you once about your result. If you book a consultation from your result, a one-line summary of your score is added to the booking note so the call can start from what you found.
5. Why we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and book consultations;
- provide, manage and improve our consulting services;
- send proposals, invoices and service communications;
- send information about our services, where you have agreed or where the law allows, and where you can opt out at any time;
- keep our website and systems secure; and
- meet our legal, tax and professional obligations.
We may also use information for a related secondary purpose that you would reasonably expect.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not currently set analytics, advertising or other optional cookies. To remember your light or dark display choice and your cookie choices, the site stores two small values in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us. You can change your choices at any time with Cookie Settings in the footer. Our Cookie policy lists every item.
Consultations are booked through the calendar on this website. When you book, we record your name, email address, company (if given), the time you chose and your time zone, and we email a confirmation to you and to our team. Links to other sites are outside our control and we encourage you to read their policies.
If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.
7. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- our directors, employees and contractors who need it to deliver our services, under confidentiality obligations;
- service providers that help us operate, such as web hosting, email, scheduling, document storage and accounting providers;
- professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers;
- government bodies and others where the law requires or authorises it; and
- a buyer or potential buyer if our business is sold or restructured.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure the recipient handles it in a way that is consistent with the APPs (APP 8).
8. Direct marketing
We send marketing communications only where you have agreed or where the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Privacy Act allow. Every marketing message includes a simple way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time using the contact details below.
9. Automated decision-making
We do not currently use automated decision-making that could significantly affect an individual’s rights or interests. If that changes, we will update this policy to describe the kinds of personal information used and the kinds of decisions involved, as required by APP 1.7 to 1.9, which commence on 10 December 2026.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps, including technical and organisational measures, to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and confidentiality obligations for our people and providers. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it promptly and notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
11. How long we keep information
We keep client engagement records for at least seven years to meet legal, tax and professional obligations. Enquiries that do not become an engagement are deleted or de-identified within 24 months. When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
12. Access and correction
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you and to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. We may need to verify your identity first. We do not charge for making a request and will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. In limited circumstances the law allows us to refuse access, and if so we will explain why.
13. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
14. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or in our practices. The current version is always available on this page, and the effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
